Geoff Broadway is a UK-based artist, filmmaker and producer. He has a background in photography and the moving image with a BA (Hons) in Photographic Studies and an MPhil in Digital Realist Montage (University of Derby).
He spent 6 years teaching Media, Design and Interactive Technologies at several universities including the University of Sunderland, The University of Auckland (New Zealand), and The University of Derby.
He has undertaken many national and international residencies that include: Durham Cathedral; Cleveland Arts/Teesside University; Jubilee Arts West Bromwich; (the now demolished) Snibston Discovery Centre, Coalville; TheMediolab-Prado, Madrid; and across Inverness Churches. His work has been exhibited and presented in the UK and globally including Germany, Taiwan, The United States, Switzerland, Spain, New Zealand and Holland.
He currently lives in the Midlands, UK, where he has devised and currently directs the Living Memory project that takes place across the Black Country 2017-2020. This major partnership-project will be a new book, a touring exhibition, and several new films all based around The family photograph and personal life stories.
He is also collaborating with artist and curator Brendan Jackson on The Keepers of the Light Project which will be a new book, film and exhibition shown in Portland and Smethwick in July 2018.
